1. What is Shelf Therapy?


Shelf Therapy is a monthly subscription box for book lovers who want to elevate their reading experience. Each box is curated with a bookish theme and includes unique, high-quality items like bookmarks, candles, mugs, t-shirts, and more. Whether you’re into cozy vibes or just love discovering fun reading accessories, Shelf Therapy is here to bring joy to your TBR pile.

2. What makes Shelf Therapy different from other book subscription boxes?


Great question! At Shelf Therapy, we’re all about personalization, quality, and a touch of sass. You won’t find generic items or random books you’ve never heard of. Instead, every box is thoughtfully curated with items that book lovers actually want. Plus, we cater to the cozy, aesthetic side of your reading life, so each box feels like a hug for your bookshelf.

3. Do the boxes include books?


Not yet! Shelf Therapy is all about the accessories and goodies that make your reading experience even better. Think candles, mugs, bookmarks, and other fun, bookish treats. While books are amazing, at the moment we focus on enhancing your reading ritual with things that you didn’t know you needed but now can’t live without. We are looking at adding a book option in the future, but need to find the right wholesale partner to make sure we can bring you the best books at the best price. 4. How much does it cost?


Our subscription plans are designed to fit your bookish lifestyle:

  • Monthly Subscription or Gift Subscription Plan: $49 USD

  • 3-Month Prepaid Gift Subscription Plan: $149 USD

  • 6-Month Prepaid Gift Subscription Plan $270 USD 

  • Annual Prepaid Gift Subscription Plan: $520 USD

Shipping is a flat rate of $9.95 USD.

5. Do you ship internationally?


Currently, we ship within Canada and the U.S. only. We hope to expand internationally in the future—stay tuned! If you’re outside these regions, send us an email at [contact email]. We’d love to know where you’d like Shelf Therapy delivered next!

 

6. When will I receive my box?


Boxes ship during the second week of each month. You’ll receive a tracking number as soon as your box is on its way, so you can start counting down the days until your next bookish surprise arrives!

7. Can I gift a subscription to someone?


Absolutely! Shelf Therapy makes the perfect gift for the book lover in your life. Simply choose one of the gift subscription options and we’ll handle the rest. You can even add a personalized note to make it extra special.

8. How do I cancel or pause my subscription?


We get it—life happens! You can cancel or pause your subscription anytime by logging into your account and selecting “Manage Subscription.” Just make sure to cancel or pause by the 1st of the month to avoid being charged for that month’s box.

9. What’s the Founding Member discount, and how does it work?


Founding Members are our VIPs! If you subscribe before the official launch, you’ll lock in a 10% discount on the Founding Member price for as long as you stay subscribed. If you cancel and rejoin later, you’ll be charged the current subscription price. Founding Member perks are our way of saying thank you for being here from the start!

10. What’s your return and refund policy?


Since each box is custom-curated, we don’t accept returns. If there’s an issue with your box—like a damaged or missing item—please reach out to us at hello@shelftherapy.com within 7 days of receiving it. We’ll make it right because happy readers are our top priority!

11. Can I customize my box?


At this time, we don’t offer customization for individual boxes. However, we do our best to include items that appeal to a wide range of book lovers. Got an idea for a future box? 12. What happens if my box gets lost in the mail?


Oh no! If your box doesn’t arrive within the estimated shipping window, please contact us at [contact email]. We’ll track it down for you or send a replacement if necessary. Your bookish happiness is guaranteed!
